The Tribology and Surface Mechanics (TSM) Group directed by Dr. Ali Beheshti at George Mason University studies tribology (science of lubrication, wear and friction), contact and interfacial mechanics, high temperature surface damage and failure analysis (wear, contact fatigue and fretting from macro- to nanoscales).
